RIP G3KEV
Impressive how well that setup works. I had audible CW echos on 2m EME from Jan Mayen using just 40W with 4 yagis. Groundgain was very good there as I was facing the ocean just a few meters away. These "new" digital modes are crazy sensitive and sure make it easier than in the old times. I have worked several single yagi to single yagi QSOs on 6m, and some even with very good dB margins.
This is just so freaking awesome! Much respect from Istanbul. 73 TA1HYK
This really shows the horrible commonmode properties of the windom antenna.
russian language. They are checnyan using this system to organize operations.Even special ops
Just heard G3KEV, Malcolm on SSB on 7180Khz, at length with Robbie, a MM0. Malcolm still has 4 × tall towers, and "does not like publicity". So no online presence. He was licensed in 1946. A photo on QRZ. He has lived and operated radio from all over the exotic DX world. Amazing! Today is "WORLD-RADIO-DAY".
I know this was posted a long time ago but it is still very interesting and thanks very much for making it. I have just bought a TS2000 with 23cm, so it was especially useful to me. Thank-you.
hi i am trying to make a radio telescope. what program do you use? thanks
I used SDRPlay and SDRUNO software, the antenna was a "Horn of Plenty" and RAS low noise amplifier.
How much gain does the antenna has?
24.2dBd
@@lustrup uh... that is really cool !! I guess it won't be possible with my M² 23CM35 that has 18.79dBd then... your video had sparked a sudden interest for me to try EME, the only mode I wish I was able to make contact, but I suspect I don't have quite the right equipement... that was fun to watch !
Means 60 meters... not 600
not 60meters....but 600meters..
How you can saw the signal and how much it is output
what's the station on that frequency? (... from Ukraine? ... broadcast 24 hours a day?)
Norwegain TV transmitter "Greipstad", shut down several years ago.
OMG I need a T2FD !!
I think this really is about open ended vs loop.
What's happening here exactly? Except the part about the moonbouncing?
iT IS JUST A RECORDING OF A CQ VIA MOONBOUNCE ON 23CM BAND.
@@lustrup Thank you. Is even possible timing the bounce? Are you able?
yes no problem timing and hearing my own Bounce.
@@lustrup Amazing. How many seconds did you get? Can you reach and bounce Venus? I would like to do an empyric measurement about the distance of the Sun.
2.4sec. No venus is too far away for me..but radiotelescops have done it already. The sun...no.
T2FD is free noise. 73
Agree with Jeff...most fascinating indeed Jan....you mention time lapse yet the video above is being played in normal time as I can here give away sounds in the background. I must have watched this 4 times before I finally noticed the Clock in the upper right hand corner spinning around at warp speed!!....my attention was so much on the moving bump!....that little Horn of Plenty has been a real proof of concept project for you....thanks for sharing....Cheers Clint - VK3CSJ Melbourne.
"ua-cam.com/video/1F9lt8_SXfc/v-deo.html" Thanks…..above is a new one i made With better quality and a LMST clock to show the Right Acession for every moment.Jan
Excellent Observation Jan!
3-4 S units is a very big drop in signal. Even though the signal is more readable on the t2fd its clearly performing far worse. I mean just the fact that its less efficient also means less noise. Its is a lot small smaller so thats probably why there is less difference on the higher bands. I'm making a t2fd at the moment but its 30m long so I hope it compares with my carolina windom
You are right.
Jose Martinez It makes less noise because it responds more to the magnetic portion of the wave than the E (voltage) which is what carries the QRN. That is a characteristic of looped antennæ Mine is about the same size as yours and sigs are often higher than a comparison antenna or vice versa. That is more likely to be due to the differing directional qualities of the two antennæ and not necessarily efficiency. You'll like it when it's completed...2 months ago? ...Must be up and running by now. FD.. is a misnomer. It's not a folded dipole although that's its name world wide. T2 ..Tilted, Terminated. It is more accurately a travelling wave antenna (Non resonant) dipoles, beams, verticals are Standing Wave Antennæ....IF they are resonant. The resistor is a terminating resistor not a loading resistor but a rose by any other name still smells as sweet. 73.

Absolutely right. T2FD is a wide-range low SWR antenna good for reception only. Transmitting capabilities are poor.
@goinghomesomeday1Hi. Can you tell more about T2FD antenna, witch you use? What are its dimensions? And what can you say about Diamond WD-330 antenna?

No way.... Not on 12 watts... Lmao
I would like to set up a radio telescope for hydrogen line and wanted your help with the materials and the assembly, could you help me?
Try to use RSPplay sdr and a dish antenne or horn. You can then see the hydrogenline bump easy.
Best antenna for sub 9kHz band RX/TX...
Haha! Great video---thanks for sharing this. Nice to see 10GHz can still work sometimes indoors even!
Nice please do more vedios best 73s de a71br
Normal, hydrogen is the most abundant element in the Universe, the natural emission (1st harmonic) at 1420 MHz is not negligible, and the background noise is therefore high.
Did you see this video: In-Flight Wireless Charging for Drones ua-cam.com/video/0tW5koyKXJ0/v-deo.html They say it work around 100-120kHz!?
You mention 3 25 meter wires topping you inverted L - Are these arranged in a fan forming a capacitance hat ?
Can you mail me your setup detail and picture?

Could it be the ionasphere or the van Allen belts that reflect the signal?
No, the signal is being measured in time also, so it is differentiated from any other reflections that may occur. de NV6R
Is this aliens
thanks for the video!

HB9Q has such an amazing station. I am setup for listening only, at this time, and have RX'ed him on SSB, with only a single loop Yagi!
Awesome!
Hello Jan, Realy love the S/N-ratio this antenna is showing ! So the length is about 10,7m. What is the spacing and the ratio of the balun/value resistor ? I'm very curious ! 73 Sjoerd (pe7sk).
